Nigerian singer Balogun Olamilekan Oluwaseyi, popularly known as Seyi Vibez, has made fresh allegations against music executive Dapper Music amid an ongoing dispute over royalties, music catalogues and artistes’ earnings.
Seyi Vibez weighed in on the controversy on X after singer T.I Blaze accused Dapper Music of failing to account for about N1.2 billion allegedly connected to royalties and the licensing of artistes’ intellectual property.
T.I Blaze had questioned the role of Virgin Music in the arrangement and demanded an explanation over how the alleged funds became unaccounted for.
“How did Virgin Music get into a business where you’re supposed to take 30 percent and bounce, from whose cut is Virgin taking their bag? … how did 1.2 billion naira go unexplained. Dapper Music come and answer?” T.I Blaze said.
He also accused Dapper Music of licensing another person’s intellectual property without reaching an agreement with the owner.
“Fuck Ripper Music … Who dey licenses another person intellectual property without mutual agreement? Dapper your cup don finally full,” he wrote.
T.I Blaze further alleged that people who helped generate the money were eventually betrayed because of greed.
“When you get so drunk on your dreams and can’t fight greed spirit, betrayed those that make the Bag primarily. you’ll be that colorful butterfly that goes back to being a caterpillar,” he said.
Reacting to the allegations, Seyi Vibez appeared to offer his own account of his relationship with Dapper Music, claiming that he played a significant role in helping the executive build his business.
The singer alleged that money belonging to him was used to sign other artistes under Dapper Music, insisting that his financial contributions helped expand the executive’s platform.

“Am bigger than the whole Dapper and his entire generation. And my money was the money being used to sign all the artiste he signed since Chance Naham! Allah walai. I made Dapper,” Seyi Vibez said.
Prompt News reports Seyi also made an allegation involving celebrity chef Hilda Baci, claiming that money from artistes’ catalogues was being spent on her cosmetic procedure.
“Na Hilda Baci BBL all una catalogue money dey go. All of una dey craze and una mama,” he said.
He further alleged that he once ate food he claimed was given to him by Dapper Music and that the experience left him seriously unwell.
“I chop Hilda Baci food one day. Na the same Dapper give me. The food almost kill me,” he said.
Seyi Vibez also accused Dapper Music of allegedly taking advantage of artistes associated with him and expressed concern for those who remain connected to the executive.
“Dapper won take all of them life. Oh boi. I pray say the people wey remain no go see chance commot,” he said.
