Super Falcons interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen has named a 28-player squad for Nigeria’s 2028 Olympic Games qualifying fixtures against Comoros.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade leads the squad, alongside established stars including Chiamaka Nnadozie, Asisat Oshoala, Oluwatosin Demehin, and Michelle Alozie.
Versatile defender Ashleigh Plumptre also returns to the team after missing the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations due to injury.
The squad features several young talents, including Christiana Uzoma, Farida Abdulwahab, Tumininu Adeshina, Favour Nkwocha, Shakirat Moshood, Oluwakemi Adegbuyi, and Janet Akekoromowei.
The invited players are expected to report to the AM2PM Hotel in Ijebu-Ode on Saturday, October 3.
Both legs of the qualifier will be played at the Remo Stars Sports Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, with Comoros unable to host the fixtures at a CAF-approved venue.
The first leg is scheduled for Friday, October 9, while the return leg will take place on Tuesday, October 13.
Victory on aggregate will send the Falcons to a third-round fixture in the five-fixture stretch qualifying campaign that will end in December next year.
