Akeem Oyetunji, Managing Editor/CEO
Akeem Oyetunji holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A Hons) degree from the University of Ilorin and a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Journalism.
His journalism career has spanned over 21 years and mostly with major Nigerian national newspapers – Nigerian Tribune, Vanguard, Nigerian Compass and The Champion.
He has over the years covered various beats – Education, FCT, Sports, Foreign Affairs and Defence. His last beat before resigning from Champion Newspapers to establish PNO Dynamic Media Limited, Publishers of Prompt News Online, was State House, Aso Rock, Abuja. (2010-2014).
Mr. Oyetunji has also covered various international assignments such as; Olympic Games (Sydney 2000), FIFA U-19 Women Championship (Canada 2002), African Cup of Nations (Tunisia 2004), ECOWAS Summits (Abuja 2008-2010), Inauguration of President Paul Kigame of Rwanda (Kigali 2010), Inauguration of President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda (Kampala 2011) African Union Summit (Addis Ababa, 2012), Nigeria’s Honorary International Investors’ Council Meeting (London 2012) among others.
Between September, 2011 and December 2013, Mr. Oyetunji was a stringer for the Agence France Presse (AFP) in Abuja, Nigeria.
Bolaji Oyegunle, London Bureau Editor
Bolaji Oyegunle is a pioneer editorial staff of Prompt News Online and head our London Bureau.
He is an experienced journalist with over 15 years practice in the print media.
Prior to relocating to the United Kingdom, Mr. Oyegunle worked with many newspapers in Nigeria, including the Guardian newspaper and Today Sports.
He rose from being a reporter to a Sub-Editor with Today Sports newspaper.
Mr. Oyegunle has bias for sports and has covered many international sporting events, including the African Cup of Nations in Mali.
Harry Sam-Awurumibe, Editor, Abuja Bureau
Mr. Harry Chidozie Sam-Awurumibe is the Head of our Abuja Bureau and also covers the Presidential Villa, State House, Abuja.
A seasoned journalist, he holds Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communications and Book Publishing from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu and Yaba College of Technology, Lagos (YABATECH).
He also holds Diploma Certificate in Information Technology and several In-Service certificates in Journalism and Management.
Mr. Sam-Awurumibe started his journalism career which has spanned over two and half decades with Guardian Newspapers Group as a Reporter on the stable of Guardian Express where he rose to the position of Entertainment Editor before being seconded to the Sports Desk of Guardian Newspapers.
Mr. Awurumibe has covered several national and international competitions and seminars including, FIFA Women’s World Cup Sweden ’95; FIFA Women’s World Cup USA ’99; FIFA Women’s Football Seminar in Los Angeles,USA’99; World Youth Championship Nigeria ’99; Sydney 2000 Olympic Games; African Nation Cup Nigeria/Ghana 2000 and Ghana 2008 ; FIFA U-19 Women’s World Cup Canada 2002; FIFA Women’s World Cup USA ‘2003; All Africa Games Abuja 2003;; Africa Women Championships (AWC) Nigeria 1998 and 2002; CAF Champions League Finals Two times in Abuja, 2004 and Lubumbashi, Congo DR respectively.
He once served as Personal Assistant on Sports Matters to the former Executive Governor, Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim. The Abuja Bureau Chief has written two Sports books namely Genesis of Women Football in Nigeria (1991) and Female Football Development: yesterday, today, Vision 2010 (1997).
Adewunmi Victoria Sulaiman, Education/Features Editor
Ms Adewunmi Victoria SULAIMAN, holds a Bachelor of Education Degree (B.Ed) from Nigeria’s Premier University, the University of Ibadan in 2012.
She joined our online platform, Prompt News Online in 2014 as Education Correspondent.
A very hardworking reporter, Adewunmi has covered special events for us in the education sector.
In February 2018, she was promoted to the position of Education/Special Features Editor.
