Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has opened up about the early results of her recent non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure, admitting that she was initially unhappy with her appearance.
The actress shared a video on Instagram on Friday, giving fans a glimpse of her face a day after undergoing the cosmetic treatment.
In the footage, Ogbodo pointed out that her face was noticeably swollen and looked different from her usual appearance. She said she was unsure about the outcome but remained hopeful that the swelling would subside.
“This is day one after my facial rejuvenation; my whole face is swollen. Honestly, I don’t know. I look so different; I don’t like how I look, but I think it’s going to get better. My doctor told me it’s going to get better and look finer, so let’s see what happens,” she said.
In a separate message accompanying the video, the actress explained that her decision to undergo the procedure was about taking care of her appearance rather than pursuing perfection.
Prompt News reports she stressed that the choice was personal and not driven by pressure to conform to expectations about ageing.
“Day 1 of giving my face the love, care and attention it deserves. I’m not chasing perfection. I’m simply choosing to look refreshed, youthful, confident and very much like myself,” she wrote.
“No hiding. No apologies. No pressure to age a certain way. This is my face. My journey. My choice. And baby… are we about to glow or what? Goddess mode: activated.”

The latest update comes after Ogbodo recently unveiled her facial transformation, revealing that she had undergone a combination of threads, fillers and PDO treatment as part of the rejuvenation process.
The actress’ cosmetic procedure comes weeks after she announced her separation from her estranged husband, Bobby Maris.
