Reality TV star and winner of the Level Up edition of Big Brother Naija, Phyna, has opened up about her plans to become a mother.
Speaking on a recent episode of her podcast, the reality star, whose real name is Ijeoma Otabor, revealed that her major focus for the remainder of the year and early next year is to build enough financial stability to welcome her first child.
Phyna explained that she does not intend to carry the pregnancy herself, disclosing that she plans to have her child through surrogacy.
“My goal for the rest of the year and early next year is, I just want to focus on making money to have my first child. When I mean having my first child, I am not getting pregnant myself. No way, I am having my child through surrogacy. You know, I said I wanted to be a cat and dog mom, I have changed my mind again,” she said.
The former BBNaija winner noted that while she had previously expressed a desire to remain a pet parent, she has now reconsidered and is looking forward to starting a family.
Prompt News reports Phyna has been vocal about personal and social issues on her podcast. In an earlier episode, she spoke about the challenges women face in society, admitting that she occasionally wishes she were a man because of the pressures and expectations often placed on women.
