Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has fired back at Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) President Emeka Rollas following his remarks suggesting she “needs help” amid her marital challenges.
Rollas had reportedly encouraged fellow actors to speak out about Daniels’ alleged unpredictable behavior, referencing two incidents and naming colleagues who were present.
Daniels, taking to Instagram, accused Rollas of abusing his position and prioritizing personal interests over the welfare of actors. She hinted that his criticism may be rooted in resentment after she allegedly stopped him from bringing women to her home for swimming lessons.
Prompt News reports addressing him directly, she wrote: “AGN president, respectfully, there is something very wrong with you. To suggest that I need help? You have no right to speak nonsense about my family, especially my mother, who has always supported you. As someone who has watched your tenure from my early days in the industry, I can honestly say you have failed as a leader. Eight years in office and the only thing of note is the recent opening of your office — long overdue and heavily criticized.”

She continued, “Your comments seem fueled by bitterness after I refused to allow you to bring women into my home. That has nothing to do with the industry, yet you try to discredit me and my family. I have given you respect and opportunities, yet this is your response.”
Daniels also defended her mother’s contributions to the industry, emphasizing her suitability as a figurehead for actors and advocating for strong female leadership in Nollywood:
“My mother has paid her dues and deserves to represent actors. Our industry needs leaders with vision, not personal vendettas. It’s time we elevate women with capable advisors to lead the way.”
Her statement marks a strong public pushback against Rollas, reigniting discussions about leadership, accountability, and professionalism within the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
