Nollywood star Mercy Aigbe has been thrown into mourning following the death of her mother.
The actress shared the heartbreaking news on Wednesday through her Instagram page, posting an image of a candlelight against a broken-heart background with the caption: “R.I.P Mum.”
Although she did not reveal the circumstances or the exact date of her mother’s passing, Aigbe has often spoken about the profound influence her mother had on her life.
She previously credited her for instilling values of sacrifice, strength, and selflessness, while also expressing gratitude for her unwavering guidance and support.

Actress Iyabo Ojo wrote: “So sorry ore, may her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
Dayo Amusa also sympathized with her, saying: “My sincere condolences, Agbeke.”
