The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the 2026 CAF Awards will take place on Monday, December 7, in Lagos, Nigeria, Prompt News reports.
This is even as Nigeria will also host CAF Ordinary General Assembly on Saturday, November 21, 2026, as part of CAF’s confirmed calendar of activities for the year.
According to a statement from CAF, the confirmation was made sequel to a virtual meeting of the CAF Executive Committee chaired by President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, on Friday, October 2, 2026.
The annual awards ceremony will bring together leading figures in African football as CAF honours outstanding players, coaches and other contributors to the development of the game on the continent.
With both dates now confirmed, attention will turn to preparations for the November General Assembly before the CAF Awards take centre stage in Lagos on December 7.
