Kehinde Adegbodu, the twin brother of late gospel singer Taiwo Adegbodu, has spoken emotionally about the painful loss of his sibling, admitting that he is still struggling to accept the reality of his death.
Taiwo’s passing was announced in March, with reports stating that the gospel artiste died during the night. His death came as a shock to many fans and colleagues within the gospel music community.
Speaking during an interview with Biola Bayo, Kehinde revealed that he still feels his brother’s presence everywhere and finds it difficult to believe he is gone.
According to him, he and members of their music band often visit Taiwo’s graveside to speak with him after events.
“To me personally, I don’t believe my Twin, Taiwo, is dead because I see him every day beside me. Each time we have an event, my bandmates and I go to his graveside to speak to him,” he said.
Kehinde also disclosed that someone recently warned him about a prophecy concerning his own death, urging prayers so he would not die like his brother.
“Someone even called me and said they should pray for me so that I don’t kpai like my brother very soon,” he added.
Reflecting on their close bond, the singer explained that both brothers shared several life milestones together, including getting married on the same day and welcoming their children in the same month.
“My husband and I got married the same day, and we had all our children the same month. I never thought of losing Taiwo at that tender age,” he said.

He further stated that Taiwo appeared healthy and active on the day he died, making the tragedy even more difficult for him to comprehend.
“Taiwo was so active the day he kpai; it still looks like a dream to me. None of our fathers in the Lord saw the death of Taiwo; this still baffles me to date. I haven’t recovered from the shock, but I am believing God for strength.”
