The President of the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) and Deputy President-General (South) of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, FCS
has been appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the national Islamic body.

The appointment was officially ratified during the recently concluded General Assembly of the apex Islamic body held in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, which was presided over by the President-General of the Council and Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, mni.

Alhaji Oladejo, an eminent financial authority and former Deputy Director-General of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), steps into the position as replacement for the late former President of MUSWEN and Deputy President-General (South) of NSCIA, Alhaji (Dr ) Sakariyau Olayiwola Babalola (SOB), OON.

The appointment solidifies MUSWEN’s representation within the national apex Islamic council. As the umbrella body coordinating Islamic affairs across the six southwestern states—Ekiti, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, and Oyo—MUSWEN plays a core role in driving the office of the Deputy President-General (South) of the NSCIA.
