Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky has ignited fresh discussions after announcing on his Instagram story that he has been detained by Nigerian immigration officers.
In a post shared on 1st of April, 2025, he wrote, “Guys, I’ve just been arrested by immigration in Nigeria. I don’t know what I did o.”
This alleged arrest comes just months after Bobrisky traveled to the UK following legal challenges, including issues with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and a public spat with online critic, VeryDarkMan.
This incident adds to a series of legal entanglements for the controversial personality.
In April 2024, he was sentenced to six months in prison for the offense of naira abuse, after being convicted of mutilating and spraying the Nigerian currency at public gatherings.
Later in the year, reports indicated that he was detained at the Seme Border while trying to leave Nigeria, with immigration authorities listing his as a “person of interest.”
The circumstances surrounding Bobrisky’s current arrest remain unclear, and Nigerian authorities have yet to issue an official statement. Fans and critics are eagerly awaiting further updates on the situation.
