Multiple award-winning artist David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has opened up about the intense criticism he has endured throughout his music career, stating that no other artist in Nigeria has faced as much backlash as he has.
While discussing the ups and downs of his journey in the industry, Davido shared that he has consistently been the target of online trolling and public scrutiny.
According to him, the negativity has not only affected him but also impacted the artists signed to his record label.
He revealed that his signees often feel disheartened by harsh comments on social media.
In response, he regularly advises them to avoid engaging with online negativity, using his own experience as an example of how to stay focused despite widespread criticism.
Davido emphasized that despite the constant trolling, he continues to thrive and remain resilient in the face of adversity.
“I think in the history of Nigeria, I think I am the most bashed and disrespected artiste. In Nigeria, if you are the son of a successful man, you gonna get it.”
