The annual Ramadan lecture of the Forestry Muslim Community will be held on Saturday, 21st February, 2026 (4th Ramadan 1447 AH) at the conference hall of the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, FRIN, Jericho, Ibadan.
The theme of this year’s lecture which starts at 10.00 am prompt is: “Security Challenges & Media Bias: The Impact On Muslim Identity.”
According to the organisers, the Guest Lecturer is Professor Ibrahim Olatunde Uthman, who is the Chief Imam of the University of Ibadan.
Prof. Uthman was the immediate past Head of the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University.
A distinguished scholar in Islamic Studies, Professor Uthman earned his PhD in Usul al-Din and Comparative Religion from the International Islamic University, Malaysia.
The Ramadan Lecture will be chaired by Alhaji Luqman Akinyemi Alimi, Asiwjau Adini, Ologuneru Muslim Community and Environs, while Mr. Kazeem Kolawole Tejumola, of the Nigeria Revenue Service, will be the Special Guest of Honour.
