Nigerian singer Crayon took to X on Sunday evening to vent frustrations at the leadership of Mavin Records in a series of fiery posts.
In the tweets, the 28-year-old artist, who was signed to Blowtime Entertainment, a Mavin Records imprint, since May 2019, called out Don Jazzy and chief operating officer Tega Oghenejobo, mixing humor with sharp criticism.
He wrote in one post: “Don jazzy na my boy!!!!!! Una dey maddddd!!?? Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333”, before accusing the COO of wrongdoing: “Tega highest criminal!!!!!!!!!”
Crayon also launched a broadside at the label itself, tweeting: “Mavin is going down!!!!!!” He didn’t hold back on the label’s top star either: “Rema for the next 100 years no feature. You stole my star from me. Yeah I took tha shiiiiii backkkkk hoeeeeerrrr!!!!! Snakkkkkkkeeeeeesssssssss.”
While speculation emerged over whether his account was hacked, Crayon has remained active on Instagram without any suggestion of a compromise.

The singer indicated his departure from Mavin Records by promoting his new imprint, Olodum Entertainment, and a booking email: Bookings@olodument.co.uk. His recently released song ‘Baami’ is listed under Olodum Entertainment and bears no Mavin branding.
Prompt News reports Crayon also called for creative input for his new label: “Any weird creatives that can come with OLODUM ENT FLAGGSSSSS!!!! Gets 500M million naira cash !!!!! With love WARAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!”
As of now, neither Mavin Records nor its executives have commented on Crayon’s public outburst.
