Former Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, has explained why she didn’t join the 2025 Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season, despite having shown interest earlier.
In August 2024, Adetshina had announced her intention to compete in the reality show. However, she ultimately missed out, as this year’s edition concluded in October with Imisi taking home the N80 million cash prize and a brand-new SUV.
In a video shared on her X page, the beauty queen revealed that her manager advised against participating because she still held the Miss Universe Nigeria title.
“I also want to do Big Brother next year. I wanted to do it this year, but my manager said I couldn’t because I’m still Miss Universe Nigeria,” she said.
Reflecting on her time in Nigeria, Adetshina expressed excitement about the opportunities she discovered during her stay.

“I really enjoyed my stay in Nigeria, and even now, like I said, once I get my documents sorted, I am going back. Nigeria was really great for me,” she shared.
“The eight months I spent there were amazing. I feel there is more to explore; there are so many opportunities in Nigeria.”
Prompt News reports in November 2024, Adetshina had announced a temporary break from pageants to concentrate on her education, modeling, and acting career, signaling that her planned BBNaija participation in 2026 fits into her broader professional journey.
