Former Big Brother Naija housemate Sheggz Olusemo has confirmed that his relationship with fellow reality star Bella Okagbue has ended, while denying allegations that he was unfaithful during their four-year relationship.
Sheggz made the disclosure in a lengthy statement shared on social media, explaining that he had remained silent about the breakup out of respect for his family and because he preferred to keep his private life away from the public.
The reality star said he decided to speak after becoming concerned that his reputation and character were being unfairly portrayed.
He stressed that he did not cheat on Bella and revealed that he has been single since January 2026.
“For clarity, I did not cheat on Bella, and I have been single since January 2026,” he said.
Sheggz described much of 2025 as a challenging period, saying he spent considerable time receiving medical treatment and recovering in England before returning to Nigeria in October.
He said it was upon his return that he became aware of information that made him question the honesty within his relationship.
“Much of 2025 was an extremely difficult period for me as I spent a significant amount of time in and out of the hospital. I am genuinely grateful to be alive after everything I experienced,” he said.
“After treatment and recovery in England, I returned to Nigeria in October 2025, where I learned information that made me question the honesty in our relationship. I had given several opportunities since 2024 for the truth to be shared with me, but unfortunately, that did not happen.”
Prompt News reports Sheggz said the situation was particularly painful because of how deeply he cared for Bella and his plans for their future together.
He revealed that their relationship officially ended in January 2026, although they later attempted to reconcile.

“The relationship ended in January 2026. We tried to reconcile afterwards, but ultimately I concluded there were issues of trust and respect that I could not overlook when considering marriage,” he said.
According to him, he had serious intentions of marrying Bella and had even bought a ring because he believed their relationship could lead to a future together.
“I genuinely wanted the relationship to work. I even went as far as purchasing a ring because I believed in the possibility of a future together,” he said.
Sheggz acknowledged that Bella’s family could have its own perspective on the breakup, saying he respected their feelings and believed he had made genuine efforts to save the relationship.
He also rejected any suggestion that he had been abusive, describing himself as someone who values family, friendship, integrity and faith.
“I am a man who values family, friendship, integrity and my faith. I am a brother, a friend to many and most importantly, I know the values I stand for. I am not an abuser,” he said.
The reality star said he does not intend to engage in a public dispute with Bella and would rather move on peacefully.
“I have no desire for hostility or public back-and-forth. I want to move forward peacefully with dignity and respect for everyone involved,” he said.
Sheggz concluded by wishing his former partner well and expressing hope that both parties would eventually move on with grace.
“I wish Bella nothing but the best in life, and I hope we can all eventually move on with grace.”
