Cypriot club Omonia FC have announced the signing of Nigerian winger David Akintola on a two-year contract, Prompt News Online reports.
Akintola joins the club following the termination of his contract with English Premier League side Hull City.
The 30-year-old winger will wear the No. 8 shirt after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.
The move marks Akintola’s return to Omonia for a second spell, having previously represented the club during the 2019/2020 season.
He made seven appearances and scored two goals during that campaign, which was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Akintola spent five years playing in the Turkish league, featuring for Adana Demirspor, Çaykur Rizespor and Hatayspor.
