Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has called on the public to be cautious of a man he accused of taking his money for an iPhone 17 meant for his wife.
Dakolo made the allegation in a social media post, claiming he paid the man for the device four months ago but has yet to receive it.
According to the singer, the man repeatedly gave excuses about the delivery, including claims that the phone was on its way and had been sent to London.
Prompt News reports Dakolo said the situation became more frustrating after the man allegedly began advertising the new iPhone despite failing to deliver the device he had been paid for.
He urged his followers to share his warning, saying it could prevent other people from falling victim.
“Please help me and repost. You might save someone.
Public service announcement.
Be careful of this guy.
It’s been 4 months since I gave him money for an iPhone 17 for my wife. The guy has eloped with my money.
It’s been one lie or the other. The phone is on its way; the delivery will call you soon; I sent it to London, etc.
As you can see, he is already posting the new phone.
My advice is, be careful of the guy and whatever he is advertising.
Very dishonest guy. He stays in Canada, so you can’t get a hold of him”.
