Nollywood actress Toyin Adewale has dismissed viral reports claiming that her son, singer Mayorkun, was involved in a fire outbreak at his Lagos residence.
Earlier reports had alleged that the singer’s mansion went up in flames following an explosion on Saturday night, with claims that he and his family narrowly escaped the incident.
Reacting via her Instagram page, Adewale criticized the spread of the unverified story, calling out the platform responsible for publishing it. She questioned the lack of fact-checking and described the report as unfair, while also committing the situation to God in prayer.
“Goldmyne, why would you do this?
Don’t you verify your news before posting?
This is seriously unfair.
Anyway, I leave whoever supplies you with this bad news to God.
My family and I will never cry, nor sorrow, nor evil shall befall us IJN.
Please, Goldmyne, learn to do better.”
