Reality star Phyna has publicly criticized Dangote Group for allegedly offering her family N20 million as compensation following the tragic death of her sister.
In August, Phyna’s sister, Ruth, suffered a horrific accident in Edo State after being struck by a Dangote truck. She survived the initial impact but lost her limbs and remained in a coma until her passing on August 31, sparking widespread emotional reactions across Nigeria.
Phyna had previously demanded N1 billion from Dangote as compensation for her sister’s ordeal, a figure many netizens deemed excessive. However, she claims the company eventually negotiated with her family and offered N20 million—a sum she believes is far from adequate considering her sister’s lifetime expenses.
Speaking on the matter, Phyna made serious allegations against the company, suggesting that Dangote Group may have pressured the hospital to hasten her sister’s death:
“My mind is telling me Dangote group and company told Lagoon hospital to inject my sister so she will die.
If I calculate wetin my sister don chop from when she dey baby class to this Auchi Poly wey she just finished, wetin be 20 million Naira?
I don’t know who made that negotiation since na then open their mouth ask. When I found out about the 20 million I was so pissed.

Phyna’s comments have reignited public debate about corporate accountability and the compensation offered to victims of tragic accidents.
