Nigeria’s Super Falcons will face the winner of the first-round tie between Sudan and Comoros in the second round of the qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic Games.
The draw was held on Wednesday at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
The qualification series will be played across five knockout rounds on a home-and-away basis, Prompt News reports.
Sudan and Comoros will meet in the opening round between June 1 and June 9, with the winner advancing to take on the Super Falcons.
The second round fixtures are scheduled for October 5 to October 13.
At the end of the qualification campaign, two teams will secure Africa’s spots at the women’s football tournament of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Zambia’s Copper Queens represented Africa at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.
