The Super Eagles defeated Black Stars of Ghana 2-1 in the semi-final of the Unity Cup at the Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford on Wednesday night, Prompt News reports.
It was coach Eric Chelle’s second victory in three matches in charge of the Super Eagles.
Nigeria raced into a two-goal lead after just 19 minutes of action.
Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers opened scoring for Nigeria in the 14th minute after he was set up by Sodiq Ismail.
Semi Ajayi headed home the second goal five minutes later with the help of a deflection by a Ghanaian player.
Thomas Asante reduced the deficit for Ghana 20 minutes from time following a lovely team move.
Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali pulled off a big save to deny Abu Francis from drawing Ghana level in the 89th minute.
The Super Eagles will face the Reggae Boys of Jamaica in the final on Sunday.
