Rivers Angels won a record ninth Nigeria President Federation Cup title after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Naija Ratels at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
Blessing Okpe’s first half penalty seperated both teams on the day.
Adebayo Jumai handled the ball inside the box in the third minute of first half added time and centre referee duly pointed to the spot.
Okpe slotted the ball into the net sending Faith Omilani the wrong way.
Rivers Angels had other chances to make the scoreline more emphatic but were let down by their poor finishing.
They however needed a big save from goalkeeper Agatha Thompson to prevent Naija Ratels from scoring a late equaliser. READ ALSO:
