Popular Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has reportedly been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre, Abuja, in connection with an alleged cybercrime dispute linked to her colleague, Mercy Johnson.
The arrest was made public by filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi, who shared details of the incident on his Instagram page.
He disclosed that law enforcement officials picked up the actress at her home in Lagos before arrangements were made for her transfer to Abuja.
According to Seun, Angela Okorie was temporarily held at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba Panti, after her arrest because there was no immediate flight to Abuja.
Prompt News reports he further stated that she was later flown to the Federal Capital Territory early in the morning to respond to the charges against her.

“Angela Okorie was arrested yesterday at her residence in Lagos by the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre, Abuja.
“She spent the night at Yaba Panti because there was no available flight to Abuja at the time of her arrest.
“She was put on a 6am flight to Abuja this morning and is being taken there to face court proceedings connected to the cybercrime matter involving Mercy Johnson”.
