Founder of Stanel Group and The Delborough Lagos, Dr Stanley Uzochukwu, has congratulated the Chief Executive Officer of Flutterwave, Olugbenga “GB” Agboola, on his inclusion in the 2026 list of the world’s Top 100 Fintech Leaders.
Agboola was named alongside some of the biggest names in the global financial technology industry, including Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, Block CEO Jack Dorsey and Stripe co-founder and CEO Patrick Collison.
In a congratulatory message, Uzochukwu described the recognition as a major achievement for Agboola and a reflection of the growing presence of Nigerian entrepreneurs in the global business community.
He commended Agboola for his leadership at Flutterwave and his contribution to the growth of Africa’s digital financial ecosystem.
Uzochukwu said the recognition demonstrated the ability of Nigerian-founded companies and their leaders to develop solutions with relevance beyond the African continent.
He also said Agboola’s achievement should encourage young Nigerians to embrace innovation, entrepreneurship and the development of solutions capable of competing in international markets.
The recognition comes as Flutterwave continues to expand its operations beyond its traditional payments business into areas of financial infrastructure, including open banking and other financial services.
The company also secured a Nigerian Microfinance Bank licence in 2026 as part of its broader expansion in the financial services sector.
Agboola’s latest recognition adds to a series of honours and appointments that have raised his profile in Nigeria’s technology and business sectors.
Earlier in September, the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, appointed him a National Youth Ambassador of the Nigeria Police Force under its youth security, peacebuilding and empowerment initiative.
