Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has joined Birmingham City, Prompt News reports.
The Sky Bet Championship club secured the services of the versatile full-back on a free transfer.
Osayi-Samuel, who signed a three-year contract with the Blues left Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce last month following the expiration of his contract.
The 27-year-old was set to join another Turkish club Besiktas before negotiations broke down over additional bonuses.
The player is no stranger to English football, having come through the youth ranks at Blackpool before securing a move to Championship side QPR in 2017 where he made over 100 appearances at Loftus Road.
The Nigerian expressed his delight after completing the move.
“I think it’s the project. I spoke to the owner, I spoke to the manager, and it’s a project with ambitions about what they want to do,” he told the club’s official website.
“Of course they did well last season getting promoted, and the ambition is not just to compete, but to get straight to the Premier League.
“Those are my ambitions too. I want to play in the Premier League and show everyone what I can do, and I think Birmingham City are giving me a platform to showcase that so I think those are the main reasons I decided to come here.”
