Odera Mbadiwe, the elder brother of former Big Brother Naija housemates, the Mbadiwe twins, has addressed concerns after being reported missing for several days.
The hospitality entrepreneur, whose disappearance was initially shared by his brother on social media, assured the public in a statement that he is safe and recovering.
Odera explained that his disappearance was linked to the ingestion of a harmful substance that left him incapacitated. He recounted how a young woman and a man found him in distress on the roadside and quickly contacted his family, ensuring he received help.
Expressing gratitude for the support he received during the unsettling period, he said he is gradually regaining his strength and has taken valuable lessons from the ordeal.

Sharing updates on Instagram, Odera wrote: “After missing for three days, I Odera Mbadiwe of the Ozuomba Mbadiwe family, am deeply thankful to be safe and recovering. It was later discovered that a harmful substance had been introduced to my system, by person or persons unknown to me, which led to a very difficult and uncertain time.”
He continued: “I want to express my gratitude to my family, friends and the general public (in particular a young lady and a gentleman who in spite of daunting challenges were able to contact my family). I’m also incredibly grateful to the Nigeria police and other security agencies. I feel much better now, growing stronger every day and returning to my old self.”
