Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan has won a silver in the women’s 100m hurdles at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, Prompt News reports.
Amusan clocked 12.29s to finish in second position behind Ditaji Kambundji, who won the race with a national record of 12.24s
Grace Stark of the United States claimed bronze in 12.34s.
The world record holder had shown strong form throughout the competition, winning her opening heat in 12.53s before storming to 12.36s to win the semis.
It’s Nigeria’s first medal in three years at the World Championships.
The Ogun-State born athlete is back into reckoning after her struggle at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
