Nigerian comedian Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as Sabinus, has opened up about a heartbreaking experience in a past relationship, where his gestures of love went unreciprocated.
Speaking during a recent livestream with TikToker Sandra Benede, Sabinus described love as “cruel” and expressed empathy for fellow TikTok star Peller, who has been publicly struggling after his breakup with his girlfriend, Jarvis.
Sabinus revealed that he has been through a similar heartbreak. He recalled gifting a Range Rover to a woman he loved, only for her to leave him later—a decision he now regrets.
“Jarvis has finished Peller. I have been in Peller’s situation before. Love is cruel. I once gifted a girl Range Rover because of love. She later left me. I regretted it. So nobody should blame Peller,” Sabinus said.

He urged Nigerians to be compassionate toward Peller, highlighting that matters of the heart can sometimes be painful and unpredictable.
Prompt News reports the comedian also recently confirmed that his own marriage to wife and mother of his child, Ciana Chapman, ended in December 2025 during a TikTok livestream. The couple had tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2023, and their marriage lasted just over a year.
