Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk has revealed Victor Osimhen will return to action soon even as he said the Nigeria international is not free from pain yet, Prompt News reports.
Osimhen suffered a bruised chin in Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda’s Amavubi last week.
The 26-year-old returned to Turkey early for treatment, and is still recuperating from the injury.
The powerful striker missed Galatasaray’s 2-0 win at Eyupspor on Saturday due to the setback.
Buruk is however hopeful he will return to action soon.
Osimhen’s condition will be determined within a few days. We’re hopeful he’ll play. We think he will, but of course, he’s in pain,” Buruk told the club’s official website.
Galatasaray will start their UEFA Champions League campaign against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.
