The Federation of International Football Association, FIFA, has confirmed Democratic Republic of Congo will feature in the final playoffs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Prompt News reports.
FIFA are yet to announce a verdict on Nigeria’s petition against Democratic Republic of Congo for fielding several ineligible players in a final CAF World Cup Playoffs in November in Morocco.
DRC will now wait for the winners of the match between Jamaica and New Caledonia to battle for a place at the Mundial.
Observers said FIFA silence on Nigeria’s protest may well be that there is no substance in their petition.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to feature in an invitational tournament in Jordan during the time of the Playoffs in Mexico.
They will face Jordan, and Mexico in the tournament.
