The family of Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola has officially spoken following reports of her death that surfaced on Saturday night.
Earlier reports had stated that the actress died after suffering a heart attack at her residence.
Several of her colleagues in the industry, including Damola Olatunji, Mr Latin, Faithia Williams and Bidemi Kosoko, were among the first to announce and mourn her passing on social media.
In a formal statement released through her friend and colleague, Rotimi Salami, the Ademola family confirmed that the actress is indeed deceased.

According to the family, Allwell Ademola was 49 years old at the time of her death. They expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of support, prayers and condolence messages received from colleagues, friends and well-wishers since the news broke.
Prompt News reports the family also prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and assured the public that details concerning her burial arrangements would be made known at a later date.
