Jack Grealish starred on his debut as Everton defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 at the Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
Grealish set up Illiman Ndiaye for the opening goal in the 23rd minute.
Ndiaye makes history as the first player to score at Everton’s new home.
Grealish also teed up James Garner for the second goal seven minutes after the break.
Brighton were awarded a penalty with 15 minutes remaining after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s handball.
Jordan Pickford guessed the right way and comfortably saved Danny Welbeck’s effort into the bottom right corner.
Grealish was replaced by young Harrison Armstrong in stoppage time to a rousing applause by Everton fans who will be hoping to see more of his brilliance throughout the season.
