Dapper Music CEO Damilola ‘Dapper’ Akinwunmi has responded to allegations of contractual breaches and financial misconduct made by some of his former artistes, insisting that the disputes should be resolved through legal and independent investigative processes.
Akinwunmi addressed the controversy in a series of posts on X on Saturday, denying the accusations and maintaining that the relevant financial and contractual records are available for examination.
He challenged his accusers to submit the company’s accounts and agreements to independent forensic auditors, saying the outcome would establish who was responsible for any outstanding payments.
“I have nothing to hide. The records exist. The authorities have them. Let the process establish the truth,” he wrote.
In another post, he accused his former associates of spreading what he described as false narratives online and insisted that nobody was forced to leave his platform.
“Don’t come online and spill rubbish narratives, & lies, only to mislead the public! You chose to leave! No one forced you, and we are still fine without you! Move on! Stop acting obsessed!!!!!”
Prompt News reports Akinwunmi also appeared to address Shallipopi directly, questioning the singer’s different accounts of their contractual relationship.
He referenced a previous meeting the singer allegedly failed to attend before challenging his claims that his signature was forged.

“Mr. Elon! The jig is up!!!!! For our last scheduled appearance, you didn’t show up nigga,” he wrote.
“I was there, but you wanna come online and say, ‘Let’s meet in court’!!!, when you’re the one running from court!!
“Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. You claim here that I forged your signature, but in your public statement in 2024, you claimed that you were pushed into a deal with Dapper Digital. Which is it???”
The music executive further called on the artistes involved in the dispute to choose any reputable accounting or legal firm to examine his company’s finances and contractual agreements.
He listed firms including KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, Templers, Aluko & Oyebode, Olaniwun Ajayi LP, and Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie as potential independent reviewers.
“We already did an audit from a reputable company! Surprise, surprise, who owes who?” he wrote.
“If e sure for any of you, make we go KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, Templers, Aluko & Oyebode, Olaniwun Ajayi LP, Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie.
“Any top law firm and auditing/accounting firm. Let them run a forensic analysis and interpret both the accounts and the contract for us, and tell you I cheated you?!
“Everyone rich enough to buy chains but never wanna pay for audits!!! No jagbajantis auditing firm, no kiri-kiri moves.”
His response comes amid a growing dispute involving former signees T.I Blaze, Seyi Vibez and Shallipopi, who have made various allegations against Dapper Music, including claims relating to music royalties, catalogue licensing and contractual agreements.
