Celebrities have sent their condolences to Nollywood actor Francis Duru, and his family, over the loss of his 15-year-old son, Ifeanyi.
Duru had announced the passing of Ifeanyi on his Instagram page, describing him as a ‘lion’, who fought valiantly before eventually succumbing to the cold hands of death.
He wrote, “My champ! My lion. You fought like a lion. If this is the way He wants it, so be it. I still judge you faithfully. I will miss you, son. I will forever love you. Rest in peace son, rest. I give you thanks, Lord!”
Reacting to the post, actor Yul Edochie’s estranged wife, May, who also lost a teenage son, Kamibilichukwu, in 2023, expressed her sympathy. She wrote, “Oh no. This is heartbreaking. So sorry for your loss. We just can’t question God. Be consoled. May his gentle soul RIP!”
Popular comedian and actor Okechukwu Onyegbule, aka Okey Bakassi, also wrote, “OMG!! I was preparing to type HBD before I read the caption. This is painful. May God strengthen your family, and may his young soul rest in peace.”
Actor Chinedu Ikedieze, wrote, “Omg! This is sad. May his soul rest peacefully.”
Veteran actor Chiwetalu Agu, also condoled with the actor, writing, “My condolences to you and your family, my brother.”
Another actor, Stan Nze, wrote, “This is really sad. But our solace is in the fact that he is with the Lord. My condolences, sir.”
Actress Queen Nwokoma, wrote, ‘Jeez. Please take heart, sir. The smallest caskets are the heaviest to carry.”
Other celebs who have commiserated with Duru include Tana Adelana, Queen Nwokoma, Ngozi Ezeonu, Mildred Okwo, Ejike Asiegbu, Kenneth Okolie, Uche Odoputa, Dolly Unachukwu, Gloria Young, and Eucharia Anunobi, among others.
Duru’s fans also sent condolence messages, including Vivianlam_glamour who wrote, “Oh my God. Please accept my sincere condolences. May God comfort you.”
Iheloghara Indomitable stated, “So sorry for your loss. It is well.”
Another fan, Adadiche Debby, wrote, “Oh no! My deepest condolences, sir. May the good Lord give your family the fortitude to bear this great loss. God knows best.”
