Popular Nigerian skit maker, Brain Jotter, has paid a heartfelt tribute to veteran highlife musician Mike ‘Gentleman’ Ejeagha, who passed away on Friday night after battling prostate cancer.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Brain Jotter shared an emotional video from his 2024 visit to the music legend’s home in Enugu.
In the video, the two are seen bonding over Ejeagha’s iconic 1983 song, Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo, which experienced a major revival last year thanks to Brain Jotter’s viral dance challenge.
Captioning the video, he wrote:
“39 years ago, he made magic (Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo song). 39 years later, we danced to it again. Now, he rests, but his melody lives forever. Rest in peace, legend.”

Ejeagha’s timeless tune gained a fresh wave of popularity after Brain Jotter featured it in a widely celebrated dance challenge that garnered over 29.1 million views and 30,000 comments on Instagram, along with 19.6 million views on TikTok.
Moved by the overwhelming response and the renewed interest in Ejeagha’s music, Brain Jotter had personally visited the veteran in Enugu, gifting him N2 million in appreciation.
Mike Ejeagha was widely respected for his storytelling style of music that blended proverbs, wisdom, and traditional Igbo folklore. His legacy continues to resonate with both older and younger generations through timeless songs and recent social media revival.
