The 2026 edition of Big Brother Naija officially began on July 26 with the unveiling of 24 contestants who will compete under the theme ‘Show Ya Sef’.
This season raises the stakes with a record-breaking grand prize of ₦160 million, the biggest reward since the reality show debuted in 2006.
Prompt News reports the housemates, drawn from different parts of Nigeria and beyond, will spend the next 10 weeks competing for the coveted prize while entertaining viewers across Africa.
The contestants are:
- Tram – The 24-year-old grew up in Lagos and hopes to become the biggest streamer in Africa.
- Temi Nkem – A 21-year-old Accounting and Finance graduate who was born and raised in London.
- Martins – A 30-year-old visual storyteller and model from Kogi State.
- Abi – A model, chef and married housemate from Osun State.
- Chimsom Chuka – The 27-year-old pharmacist from Anambra State describes himself as a “fine boy.”
- Keivo – A 27-year-old web developer from Benue State with a master’s degree in Disaster Risk Management.
- Mercedes – A 26-year-old massage therapist, concierge and pole dancer.
- Kamsy – A 24-year-old event planner and gift curator who says she does not forgive easily.
- Sultex – A 24-year-old dancer and choreographer from Lagos with what he describes as a complicated relationship status.
- Aikou – A 25-year-old freelance teacher and web developer who enjoys reading and spending time alone.
- Flora – A 30-year-old makeup entrepreneur from Delta State.
- Bells – Isabella Imoh, who describes herself as a neat freak and foodie.
- Gerard – A 23-year-old Lagos on-air personality who says he dislikes dishonesty.
- Oyin – A 22-year-old model and sales entrepreneur from Shagamu.
- Sheba – A mother and fitness enthusiast who proudly calls herself the “queen bee.”
- Araga – Oluwaseyifunmi Shosanya, a fashion model who describes himself as a self-proclaimed king and full-time vibe curator.
- Ricky – A 33-year-old filmmaker and writer from Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
- Nomy – A 26-year-old fashion designer from Anambra State who says she hates losing.
- Barry – A 26-year-old civil engineer and designer based in Abuja who describes himself as stylish and highly competitive.
- Neche – A lawyer and twin who says she is bringing “brains, beauty and bundles” into the house.
- Yusuf – A 25-year-old actor from Kogi State who says he is highly confident in himself.
- Goddessa – An Afropop and Afrofusion artiste who describes herself as an “adrenaline junkie.”
- Bluethopia – A photographer, model and student from Adamawa State who says she is bringing quiet confidence and sharp instincts to the competition.
- Cassi – A 27-year-old entrepreneur and actor from Abia State who says he is a man of many talents.

The contestants will battle for the historic ₦160 million prize over the next 10 weeks as they navigate tasks, nominations and evictions in the BBNaija house.
