Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has issued a public apology to fellow actress Mercy Johnson and Senator Ned Nwoko, expressing regret over past statements made during emotional moments.
In a reflective Instagram post, Okorie admitted that her actions and words, especially those directed at Mercy Johnson, were made in pain and ended up being hurtful and misrepresentative.
“Having reminisced on certain events that transpired, I can only thank God I’m alive. I realise now that my utterances, whether uttered from a place of pain or not, were hurtful,” she wrote.

Addressing her past online call-outs targeted at Johnson, Okorie acknowledged the toll such public exchanges might have taken and asked for forgiveness.
“Your mental health is very important now and ever, and I wouldn’t wish you or your family worse,” she said, adding that she now understands the impact of her words and wishes to move forward in peace.
She also apologised to Senator Ned Nwoko, stating that her earlier remarks toward him were born out of misdirected anger and were not meant to be disrespectful.
“My sincere apology also goes to Senator Ned Nwoko. I understand that my anger in trying to make a reply didn’t find you in a good state,” Okorie wrote. She recalled her previous involvement in his political campaigns and family carnivals, noting that her past association with him only makes her regret her outburst even more.
Angela’s apology follows a prolonged online feud that escalated earlier in the year when she stated that she had forgiven Mercy Johnson — a comment which sparked controversy after reports emerged that Johnson was battling health issues. Regina Daniels, wife of Ned Nwoko, later responded by calling Okorie “mad” and cautioning Mercy Johnson against accepting the apology.
In her post, Angela also touched on personal struggles, citing betrayal, false narratives, and online attacks from bloggers as part of her challenges.
“All these have made me realize that being at peace is better than war or fighting. I deeply regret my actions and am sorry,” she concluded.
