Nigerian singer and Grammy award winner, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has celebrated his late mother, Morayo, on her first posthumous birthday.
The singer paid tribute to his mother via his official page on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.
The multiple award-winning artist celebrated her life, highlighting how much he missed her laughs, hugs, and kisses.
He said, “Happy birthday, love of my life! I miss you every day. The first one without you here feels unreal. Nothing makes sense without you, Mama! Life is empty without you.

“Continue to watch over us! My heart is broken forever! love you love love you, Morayo mi. Your smile is a memory I will never forget. Your laugh! Your hugs and kisses. I miss you dearly!”
Wizkid also wrote, “Morayo!! Best album I ever made!! Now listen! It’s only up from here!”
Wizkid’s mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, died on 18th of August, 2023, and was buried on 13th of October, 2023.
