Jordan Ezenwo Nyesom-Wike, son of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has denied involvement in an alleged $2.1m land transaction in Abuja.
Jordan made the denial while testifying before the FCT High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Silvanus Oriji.
He told the court that the signature attributed to him on a document relating to the disputed transaction was forged, insisting that he had no relationship with the claimants in the case.
Under cross-examination by counsel for the claimants, Hamza Dantani, Jordan also denied receiving any money in connection with the alleged transaction.
He said he was outside Nigeria on September 26, 2025, the date the claimants alleged that payment was made for the land deal.
“I did not receive any money from anybody. I did not sign any document for land deal. I only found out that my signature was on the land document just like anyone else in this court yesterday,” he told the court.
Jordan also denied knowing a man identified as Onor Sandy, whom the claimants alleged accompanied him during the transaction.
The court had earlier ordered him to produce his passport following an application by counsel to the claimants. At Wednesday’s proceedings, he presented a photocopy of the document and undertook to produce the original whenever required.
The suit, marked CV/008/2026, was filed by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited against Jordan over the alleged land transaction.
The claimants alleged that they met Jordan in London and later approached him in Abuja for assistance in securing 30 hectares of land each in Katampe and Guzape.
They further alleged that Jordan demanded $2.1m as a facilitation fee, claiming that $2m was meant for his father while $100,000 was his personal fee.
The claimants alleged that the money was delivered in cash on September 26, 2025, in the presence of Adamu Sani, Aliyu Sarki and Sai Wani.
