Super Falcons striker Esther Okoronkwo has been named Woman of the Match following the team’s victory over Tunisia.
Justine Madugu’s side cruised to a 3-0 win over the North Africans in their 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Group B encounter at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, Casablanca on Sunday night.
The Super Falcons got their goals through Asisat Oshoala, Omorinsola Babajide, and substitute Chiwendu Ihezuo.
Okoronkwo replaced Babajide after the break.
The 28-year-old was a thorn in the flesh of the opposition with trickery and skills.
The AF Toronto striker was unlucky not to get on the score sheet with her shot hitting the woodwork.
She has scored six times in 15 appearances for the Super Falcons.
