China striker Huang Jiaxin is expecting a tough encounter against Nigeria’s Falconets in their second Group F match at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, Prompt News Online reports.
Wang Jun’s side made a flying start to their campaign on Monday, thrashing tournament debutants New Caledonia 5-0.
Jiaxin was the star of the show, scoring a hat-trick to help China secure all three points and move to the top of the group.
The Asians will now turn their attention to Nigeria, who began their campaign with a 2-0 defeat to former champions Spain.
Despite China’s impressive opening victory, Jiaxin is expecting a much more difficult test against the Falconets.
“I am very excited to help the team win the match. It is an honour to be top of the goalscoring standings, and I am very happy to be the first player to score a hat-trick in this competition,” Jiaxin was quoted by FIFA.com.
“Of course, I would like to win the Golden Boot award. But we now need to focus on our next match against Nigeria, which will be a tough game.”
