Nigeria’s Flamingos produced a dominant display to defeat Guinea 6-0 in the second leg of their 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, on Sunday.
Bankole Olowookere’s side sealed qualification to the next round in emphatic fashion, advancing with an 11-0 aggregate victory after recording the same scoreline in the first leg in Conakry.
Oluwakemi Adegbuyi opened the scoring in the ninth minute to set the Flamingos on their way.
Captain Harmony Chidi doubled Nigeria’s lead in the 21st minute before Queen Joseph added a third just two minutes later.
Adegbuyi netted her second goal of the game in the 28th minute, while Chidi completed her brace six minutes later after being set up by Adegbuyi.
The hosts added one more goal after the break, with Precious Oscar finding the back of the net to cap a comprehensive 6-0 victory.
The Flamingos will now await their next opponents as they continue their quest for a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
