Nigeria’s Super Falcons climbed eight places to 32nd position, according to the latest FIFA World Rankings for women.
The latest ranking was released on FIFA’S official website on Friday morning, PROMPT NEWS reports.
The Super Falcons exceeded most expectations when they reached the knockout rounds of the 2023 World Women’s Cup in Australia and New Zealand from a tough first round group that had Olympic champions Canada and co-hosts Australia.
The nine-time African champions remain the number one team in Africa.
South Africa, Cameroon, Morocco and Ghana complete the top five teams on the continent.
Sweden are the highest ranked team in the world.
