Nigerian singer and songwriter Omah Lay has released his sophomore album titled Clarity of Mind, a 12-track project now available across all major streaming platforms.
The album dropped in the early hours of Friday and features tracks such as Artificial Happiness, Jah Jah Knows, Canada Breeze, Water Spirit, Don’t Love Me, Coping Mechanism, and Julia. Other songs on the project include Waist, Mary Go Round, I Am, Holy Ghost, and Amen.
Omah Lay began his music journey at a young age, initially working as a producer before gaining mainstream attention in 2020 with hit songs like You and Bad Influence. He went on to release his debut album Boy Alone in 2022, further establishing his unique sound and emotional depth in music.
Known for his blend of Afro-fusion and introspective songwriting, the artiste has built a strong global fanbase over the years. He also earned a nomination at the 2026 Grammys in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category for his collaboration with Davido on With You, although the award ultimately went to South African artiste Tyla.

Prompt News reports beyond the album release, Omah Lay has recently stirred conversations with a bold claim about his standing in the music industry, describing himself as unmatched in the past two decades.
“I’m the best at this. I don’t mean to brag… but I am the best in the last 20 years,” he said.
“If you bring together all Afrobeats artistes, when it comes to true artistry and making music, I stand alone at the top. The only person I sometimes put on the same level as me is Burna Boy. He’s the sole artiste I look at and think, ‘yes, he’s up there.’ Apart from Burna, it’s just me.”
