Libyan giants Al-Ittihad SC have announced the signing of Nigerian midfielder Onuche Ogbelu, Prompt News Online reports.
Ogbelu joined the Tripoli-based club from Tunisian champions Esperance and has signed a three-year contract.
The 23-year-old moved to Esperance from Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Nasarawa United in 2023.
The former Flying Eagles midfielder becomes Al-Ittihad’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
The club have also strengthened their squad with the arrivals of Thembinkosi Lorch, Adem Alilet, Stephane Aziz Ki, Ahmad Benali, and Anatole Abang.
Ogbelu represented Esperance at last year’s FIFA Club World Cup in the United States of America, earning plaudits for his impressive performances.
He made 54 league appearances for the Blood and Gold, scoring two goals in the process.
