Nigerian comedian and actor Bovi Ugboma has shared his views on marriage and divorce, saying he does not always see the end of a marriage as a negative outcome.
Speaking during an interview with Morayo Afolabi-Brown, Bovi addressed the growing rate of divorce and explained why he sometimes celebrates when couples decide to part ways.
According to him, a divorce can be a sign that one or both individuals were unhappy or struggling within the relationship.
“I celebrate when people get divorced because I feel it means one or both people were not breathing well in the marriage,” he said.
Prompt News reports the comedian also reflected on his own marriage, acknowledging that it has come with challenges over the years.
While admitting that marriage is not always easy, Bovi stressed that he believes relationships should not become a source of suffering for either partner.
