Residents of Mada Station in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have called for urgent security intervention following the abduction of three people, including a secondary school teacher, within two days.
The victims were reportedly kidnapped in separate incidents, raising concerns among residents over the deteriorating security situation in the community.
A resident, Micah Kuje, raised the alarm in a Facebook post on Thursday, disclosing that two people were abducted in Angwan Mission on Tuesday, while a secondary school teacher, Solomon Musa Ogah, was reportedly seized in the early hours of Thursday.
Kuje said the victims were still being held by their abductors as of the time he made the post, prompting residents to appeal to the authorities for immediate action.
He expressed concern that the repeated abductions had left residents living in fear, urging the government and security agencies to intensify efforts to protect lives and property.
“The people of Mada Station are no longer safe. We are living in fear and we need urgent security intervention,” he said.
The resident specifically called on the member representing Nasarawa Eggon West Constituency, Abel Yakubu Bala, the state government, the Nasarawa State Police Command and the chairman of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area to take urgent steps to secure the community and ensure the safe return of the victims.
