Nollywood actress Sikiratu Sindodo has revealed how a health challenge that initially appeared to be malaria and typhoid became so severe that she eventually slipped into a coma.
The actress shared the details during an interview with Oyinmomo TV, recalling how she was moved between different hospitals as her condition continued to worsen.
Sikiratu said the illness persisted for months, although she could not remember the exact duration. At the height of the health crisis, doctors reportedly gave her mother only a 50/50 chance of seeing her recover.
She further recalled that her mother was at one point advised to return home as doctors battled to save her life.
“I was sick like someone who had malaria. Malaria/typhoid, that was it, and that was how it started gradually. From one General Hospital to another. I can’t remember how long it lasted. I think it lasted for months because I was in a coma and was given a 50/50 chance. My mum was even told to go home”.
Speaking about how she survived the ordeal, the actress struggled to hold back her emotions as she credited God for answering prayers made on her behalf.
“God answered a lot of prayers in my life. God has been faithful because I don’t want to be emotional”.

Sikiratu also addressed the intense public discussion surrounding reports linking her to MC Oluomo.
She admitted that the level of attention generated by the reports caught her off guard, saying she never expected the matter to attract so much public discussion.
“The noise was too much. I didn’t know the noise would be that much”.
