Grammy-winning British singer Ed Sheeran has revealed plans to step away from music temporarily as he looks to spend more time with his family.
The Shape of You hitmaker made the announcement over the weekend during the opening night of his “LOOP” tour in Glendale, Arizona, telling fans he may take a break once the tour wraps up.
The father of two said he intends to prioritise family life, hinting that he will step back from the spotlight to embrace fatherhood.
“This is gonna be my last time here in a while. I might take some time off once this tour has ended and sort of do the dad thing,” Sheeran told the audience.
He added, “So, if I don’t see you for a while, I love you, thank you for coming.”
Sheeran, who shares two daughters—Lyra, 5, and Jupiter, 4—with his wife Cherry Seaborn, has been married since 2019. The couple first met in childhood, reconnected in 2015, and later tied the knot.
